Footy Tipper — Privacy Policy

Footy Tipper (“the App”) is a personal NRL tipping assistant. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can contact us. It applies to the Android (and any future iOS) app published by Fowkes Apps.

Information we collect

• Google account details (sign-in). When you sign in with Google we receive a stable Google user ID, your display name, and optionally your email address and profile photo. We use these to identify your tips and show your name on shared tip cards.
• Tips and preferences. Tips you save (match, picked team, round, season) are stored on our servers so they sync for your account.
• On-device settings. Sign-in state and display preferences may be stored locally on your phone.
• Technical logs. Our API host may retain standard server logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps, request paths) for security and reliability.

Information we do not sell

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your tips or Google profile for advertising networks.

Third-party services

• Google Sign-In. Authentication is provided by Google. Google’s use of data is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
• NRL.com (and related public feeds). Match schedules, scores, ladders, and related sporting data are fetched from publicly available sources to power the App. That data is about matches and teams, not about you.
• Hosting. App API and this website are hosted on infrastructure providers (including Fly.io for the tipping API and AWS for this site).

Bookmaker odds

Where odds appear in the App, they are for information only. Footy Tipper is not a gambling service and does not take bets or stakes.

Data retention

We keep tip history for as long as your account is active and the App is offered. You can ask us to delete your tipper data by emailing support (see below).

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Sign out of Google within the App to stop new tips being saved under that account.
• Email us to request access to or deletion of your stored tips and profile fields.
• Uninstalling the App removes local data on that device; server-side tips remain until you request deletion.

Security

We use HTTPS and access controls appropriate for a small consumer app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
